Building
up a
dog's
retrieving
desire
is as
important
as
training.
It's up
to the
trainer
to ask
your dog
to be
obedient
& drop
the
bumper/bird,
however
it's up
to your
dog to
want to
continuously
go after
the
birds in
the
hunting
field.
Our
Retriever
Gun Dog
program
is
available
to dog 4
months
or
older.
Your
puppy
will be
exposed
to
following:
Birds,
bumpers,
ducks,
different
types of
swimming
terrain,
decoys,
different
types of
land
terrain,
introduced
to
training
pistol
sounds.
Your
young
dog will
also be
exposed
to an
introduction
to
obedience.
All
retriever
young
dog work
is based
on
praise
and fun.
Includes
obedience,
mouth
work,
steadiness,
and
marking
singles
&
doubles
up about
100
yards.
Why do
we
emphasize
on
marking
for
young
dogs?
The
marking
training
teaches
a dog
not just
to use
their
nose,
but to
box off
areas to
hunt
productively
for
retrieves.
The
marking
training
also
teaches
your dog
to push
over &
through
different
terrains
&
hunting
scenarios
to find
a
retrieve.

Our
"Head
Start"
program
is for
young
4-6
month
old
dogs. We
introduce
your
young
dog to
birds,
pointing,
whistles,
check
cords,
field
commands
and the
proper
introduction
to
gunfire.
This
exposure
is for
developing
your
dog's
natural
instincts
and
involves
no
corrections.
An
extremely
important
part of
a
puppies'
development
is to
enjoy
all the
new
hunting
experiences
without
any
pressure.
We spend
time
working
with you
and your
dog
together.
We will
instruct
you on
what to
work on
and what
not to
work on
at home
to
prepare
your dog
for more
advanced
training.
This
introductory
work is
designed
to
educate
your pup
on how
to get
the most
out of
his or
her
early
sessions
during
this
critical
stage of
rapid
development
and lay
the
foundation
for a
great
hunting
dog. A
poorly
started
pup
often
will be
unsuccessful
in their
later
training.

Semi-Private Small Group
Classes
Class size is limited to a
maximum of 10 dogs. This insures that more individual
attention is given to each student and their dog. Creating a
higher rate of success than in classes with 25 to 40 students.
